Directional glowy warm light. Scene containing cozy inviting environment. Process for warmth and softness (Not crazy sharp, raised black levels, emphasis on warmer colors)
To create comfy you first have to be comfy with yourself, seito.

How does one efficiently emphasize warm colours? increase their saturation/lowering cold saturation? Change up the hue for the warmer and colder colours?

Well first you pick a scene that already has warm colors.
Then you go in post and adjust hue and saturation to bring them forward in the image.
Most importantly, you have to start with a comfy scene. You can't take a shot of a muddy river full of garbage and sticks, and hope to make it "comfy" in post.
The biggest part of a comfy shot is that people feel like they would be comfy if they were there, and if your shot isn't of something that inspires comfort, nothing you can do in post is going to help.
some of the most comfiest photos are when you can tell the person TAKING the photo was also in a comfy position.
usually photos where the photographer is sheltered from the elements, in a comfy position, with comfy surroundings. probably also try to avoid wide angle focal lengths as they create distance between objects, but there's really no hard rules.
this one from zx in the other thread is pretty good in that when looking at the photo, there is assurance that the only surroundings you have to worry about are in front of you. similar to how people feel more relaxed sitting with their backs against a wall facing outwards to their surroundings - it's just human nature. all the stimulation is already framed in front of you with the tent opening and the rest of your surroundings is the tent walls in close proximity, but not so close that it becomes claustrophobic. it's also good because the contrast in environments makes you value the comfort of being inside the tent more
