Sweet, I hope it's a great lens! I shoot canon, but I want everyone to be happy and have access to great affordable equipment!
>>
>>2836631
Still not cheaper (and sharper) Than the Pentax DA 50mm f/1.8. Or the FA 50mm f/1.7. Or the FA 50mm f/1.4.
>>
What's the point? You can get the 50/1.8D for $100 already. No need for chink shit.
>>
>>2836660
It won't autofocus on D3XXX and D5XXX
>>
Oh wow, they actually bothered to copy the Nikon version too.

It would've been really funny to see a clone of the Canon version on a Nikon.
>>
>>2836631
I would rather prefer a 35mm 1.8g or a 24mm 2.8g pancake.
>>
50mm is too tight. i prefer the 40mm pancake
>>
>>2836631
Wow you really showed me
Take that me

>Protip: I have one of these and it is mediocre asf senpai-ily
>>
>>2836835
I mean the nikkor 35mm 1.8g is already super affordable, got mine for like 100-120 bucks a couple years ago
>>
>>2836848
It's a crop-only lens, though. Nikon really needs to hurry up with a modern FF 35/2 or 35 1.8. (It wouldn't affect me, since I have the Sigma Art 35, but not everybody wants to spend 900 bucks on a big heavy lens that doesn't say Nikkor on it.)
>>
>>2836881
What, you mean the Nikon 35 1.8G for FF? Because that exists, and it's pretty good too.
>>
>>2836631

why would anybody buy a chinese knockoff to save $20?
>>
>>2836932
Oh shit, I didn't even realize that was a thing haha. Now I feel stupid.

>>2836631
why didn't they just use canon design and make it a nikon?
>>
>>2837012

then they cant fit the wiring for the different AF system and thus would require them to actually do some original engineering to get around the problem which would defeat the whole point of the lens for being a cheap knock-off clone
>>
Are these mega-cheap lenses actually good though?
Good also means build quality, ergonomics, longevity, not just sharpness
>>
>>2837017
Different flange distance and stuff too, the rear element of the Canon version would have to be inside the Nikon body.
>>
>>2837034
>the rear element of the Canon version would have to be inside the Nikon body.

that's lewd
>>
>>2837023
no, buy rokinon or samyang or whatever its called in your country
>>
>>2837036
I'll back this up. I have a Rok 85 and it's awesome, and my little bro has the 24 cine for his A6K and it's a really nice lens too.

They might be a pain in the ass on a cheap DSLR with a small VF, though.
>>
>>2836665
you can use focus assist
>>
this is good even if you won't buy it
maybe it will decrease nikon 50 1.8g price
>>
>>2836839
>40mm
What a loser.
>>
>>2837255
Yeah, 43mm is where it's at.
>>
>>2836839
Hate this fucking lens.

Great post anon. Well worth posting anon. Great job anon.
>>
>>2836839
It took me a while to like this lens but now I use it for walking around with my old xsi and love it.

>>2836631
>shooting ching chong nip yong third party bullshit
>not being nikkor master race and buying a 50 1.8 for $50
>>
>>2837243
Nikon entry level doesn't have focus peaking and focus assist. Jokes on you.
>>
But Sony when.

>Swype typed agony instead of Sony
Top kek brah
>>
>>2839471
But Sony has a cheap babby 50/1.8 now, it is especially efficient on purple scenes.

No really needed, when you can get this lens with under 50$
>>
>>2839647
Does it AF on D3x00 and D5x00?
>>
>>2839659
Learn to shoot manual or sell your camera.
>>
>>2839668
Manual focus on an entry level aps-c dslr is retarded. Stop giving stupid advice.
>>
>>2839668
Why would I need to sell it? My trusty K-3 has the exceptionally sharp DA 50/1.8 which I bought for $80 mint condition, does AF and sports the industry leading SMC coating. I also have the Helios 44 and can use all the focus assists. The best thing is you don't need the K-3 for it, the lowest entry level body like the K-500 or the K-S1 can also do the focus assists including focus peaking and full time metering on any manual glass.
I have no need either to switch to a Nikon D7x00 body nor to resort to a Yongnuo lens.
>>
>>2839680
Don't the entry level Pentax APS-C and others have focus peaking?

I think what might be retarded is to buy a CaNikon entry level camera if you wanted more features. They make a point to only give you these on the higher-end cameras, even if they are pure software features.
>>
>>2839647
you need a d7000 or higher for those to meter properly. Or buy an external meter.
>>
>>2839456
Yeah they do tf are you talking about? They don't have peeking but they have assist. I've used the 135mm and there are two little arrow on bottom where your exposure +/- are to tell you which way to turn the focus ring.

>The quality performance of the lens, we go through the actual shooting, you can see the lens aperture fully open, the degradation of image quality is quite obvious, especially in the edge of the screen performance is even more obvious, and the aperture to shrink after f2.8, image quality will have a significant upgrade, after receiving f4 aperture to achieve the best image quality, resolution and sharpness are very satisfactory, after being diffracted f11 influence, there will be some decline in image quality, but still within the acceptable range, in general, and with the specifications of the original lens compared to the performance of this lens is Yongnuo still very powerful.

>Yongnuo 50 mm f/1.8 resolution, sharpness, blur, color and other aspects of performance are very good, and compared to the original product is relatively close, of course, in the details the original product performance will be better, but then again with the price, the advantages of the original lens ceased to exist.

What is your point? Nikon users wouldn't mount a Pentax lens!

I used to have the FA 50 1.4 and was never blown away with its sharpness and contrast, even stopped down. Nice image overall, though.
