What do you think about this, OP?
>>
>>2835591
I like it, I feel like when I'm editing images I never quite manage to make them stand out/pop properly. What did you do?
>>
>>2835639
Not that guy but looks to me like he upped exposure a lil, contrast a bit more, then dropped highlights, upped shadows, and maybe upped clarity

(I'm replying because I'm a beginner and I want to see if what I think he did was actually what he did)
>>
>>2835591
nah, OP's looked better, the glowing light gave it a nice atmospheric look / more 3D feel - the seperate layers in depth have different expoures - yours /while fits a "proper" histogram more / is much less interesting

Cranes are cool af, too bad I can't see them clearly in this photo

>>2835587
I've found that when I take snapshits of people as the subject, cheapo B&W is great but for outside shots in summer I need colour. I like the portrait better.

>>2835656
I like the crop, they're like small flies

regards knows shit about photography
>>
>>2835668
Yeah, the highlights are way to blown for those cranes to be a part of picture. Not even worth mentioning them. Or posting the picture at all.

>one of my previous shots got posted in a things you've saved from /p/ thread
which one was it?
>>
>>2835639 #
I just noticed you went for a symmetry shot and went full technical autist to match exposures on both sides of the building. Plus intensify the texture of the wall, perhaps too much so.
>>2835639 #
>>2835647 #
I edited it on a 11yo winXP pc in IrfanView so given how retarded and outdated that is not sure if there's a point describing my process.
>>2835653 #
Yeah I asked ppl to compare the two and most preferred OP's version for this same reason. It's a valuable lesson that technical correctness is irrelevant vs aesthetic and "feel".

doubtless to say, you've some great shots op, post more of your stuff. thanks for humouring an autist butting into your thread. Also, as per usual: what film/developer?
