Solar chargers for /out/ings?

Sup anons,

Going on a 3 week wander, taking my camera obviously, but I'm thinking of picking up a solar charger.

Anyone got experience? I need it to be able to charge 7.2v, otherwise even it trickle chargers over a day no worries as I have multiple batteries.

When I go out there for a week or two I just take a bunch of fully charged 3rd party batteries.

I shoot Fuji X, I have 2 batteries and can borrow a third. A battery lasts me 1-2 day of shooting. I'm out for 3 weeks. No way am I packing 10+ batteries.

I was thinking Powercharger Solargorilla, but it only puts out 300 mah on a sunny day, so roughly 6 hours to charge a Fuji X battery.

The only 'issue' is that it's not got a battery to store the charge unlike other models, but at 50£ it's not bad!

>Fuji X
I don't know which exact battery that eats but batteries for Fujis are £2.35 to £5.41 in DX including shipping, which makes taking 10+ batteries a real possibility.

I myself have 5 batteries for my p&s (actually 7 but I managed to misplace two) and 5 for my dslr...

I may be of some help here as I run a travel Instagram mainly hiking with Fuji gear. I strap this bad boy onto my pack and it will change at least 2 batteries a day using a Fuji USB charger from Amazon. It works flawlessly even on my 3 week trip to Africa with very limited power it even charges my 25000mAh power bank at a reasonable speed.

As a fujifag with extreme battery anxiety, my thoughts are with you. I can't imagine being on a hiking trip constantly thinking of my battery life or whether my sar charger is getting enough light while hanging on my pack.

Honestly, either buy like 20 batteries or just shoot film for most of your trip.

while we are on the subject of third party batteries, which brands are not total shit? i've tried wasabi power before and their batteries wouldn't charge.

This, a big ass solar panel is a must, anything smaller is basically useless. Also, it's a lot more convenient to trickle charge a single big ass battery then use that to charge up your individual camera batteries at night than to have to constantly check on smaller batteries and swap them out.
