Does anyone successfully use their canon camera with an Ipad for live view?
It would be so damn useful for self portraits and really just anything to be able to control focusing and stuff from an ipad, or at least just be able to see what the live view looks like.
Alternatives are also welcome, just looking for some info.
Thanks guys

Gear thread next time
Anyway, I asked this question a while back, word to word. Sadly no solutions yet. Use Lr or something to tether.

This.
Anything that runs on Windows, I remote to my iPad. I do this for streaming my Xbox One. I imagine you could do the same with tethered shooting.

I don't really hate apple, just will never buy from them again now that i'm on android phone and custom built PC. All about that bang4buck that apple shits all over.
Self portrait from your DSLR composed by iPad, whole new levels of fucking navel gazing narcissism.

I just use the laptop if I need to tether, I wish iPad had a seamless and perfect tether application but it just doesn't.

There is a manfrotto accessory that will do it, intended for turning an iPad into an evf. I think it's $300, but it will let you plug your iPad into your Canon dslr

There's not an EOS app in the apple store?
