I received a "broken" "Olympus X-840" digital camera from my aunt. The screen is broken, so I can't see a thing when turned on. So, does it compensates to pay for a fix, or should I throw it away?
>release date: 2009, or earlier
>price of one working fine: US$22.5 (converted from my currency)

Fixing the screen will cost dramatically more than just buying another one.

How do you know?

Because anyone with the part and the knowledge of how to replace it didn't get to where he was by charging less than $22 for his work.

New what, new camera?

Sell it for parts and buy a functional one for $20.

Of the same model?
