Hi /p/ ! Today I bought on a flea market a cokin filter.
Its reference is A 171 RB but I can't find anything on it.
Should it be used with Black and White film or with color film ?
Should I use it with something else? Like another filter ?
Thanks for your help.

Wow, thank you anon, I guess I'm too stupid to use this "google". What is this ? A mouse ? Com..pu...ter ? What ? Google it ?
FUCK , I'm not stupid, of course I googled the reference !
I just want to know more about this filter than just a fucking website which sells this filter for 1079$. So stop bragging because you googled my reference and found a fucking picture.

You turn the damn thing to turn the filter from red to blue and back. It's two colored polarizer next to each other, just looking at the damn thing I can tell that.
Have you not attended school? Are you stupid? You have a hobby in close relation to physics more specifically optics. You should know all this stuff!
Generally one uses color filters for bw photography, if you're into the lomo art scene you could use this on color film but I wouldn't advocate for that
Are you aware of color infrared film? Google "aerochrome", you could do some really cool photos with that filter

fug.
Going to bump this rather than creating a new thread and shitting up the board as it's filter related.
I recently bought a few different types of ND filters to comer a few more filter thread sizes.
One of the budget ND8's that I bought gives a horrible red/magenta dark colour cast.
I thought about how to fix it in post but I was wondering if anyone had any advice for fixing colour casts?
I was thinking a workaround may be to use a colour checker/grey card/reference with the ND filter or a white sheet of paper and note down any adjustments. Does this sound good or am I better off just buying a bunch of Cokin filters (i'm already feeling overwhelmed by the amount of ND filters I own)?
