I got this camera today, and it has some problems.
1. The viewfinder only displays white, and
2. The camera will no longer work. Earlier today it was working fine, except for the viewfinder, but now it won't turn on at all. What can I do to fix this? Is it a battery problem or a camera problem?

Step 1: place camera into bin
Step 2: remove phone from pocket
Step 3: proceed to film
VHS is deprecated as fuck And not cool deprecated like 35mm film and vinyl, I mean like everyone stopped using it 10+ years ago for a reason. It's like how no one uses cassette tapes but people still use vinyl.

still pretty alive amongst the skate crowd actually
VHS isn't dead. but I agree. use your phone. it will be as good or better. there are tutorials on youtube that can help.

i'm guessing you don't have an ac adapter anywhere? I've had a hard time finding batteries for old cameras that can hold a charge...

Well nobody worth a damn really gives a shit about the opinions of skaters.

Bull. if there was a stronger community of skaters where i live it would be great chance for photo ops, and interesting people.

The battery is flat and needs charging.
The red dot visible would remind the camera operator that the battery was charged. Sliding it over meant the battery was spent and needed recharging. Nothing more nor less.
The camera as far as I can see has no branding so it is unlikely to be anything special and new batts will be difficult. Have a look at the input/output requirements and buy a cheap universal charger and give it a go. If you don't know what I am talking about forget the whole project..
