Anyone have experience with converting your sensor to B&

I broke a camera this way. It's very very difficult. The wires bonded to the sensor are disgustingly fragile. There are some threads on astronomy forums about this.

Best to purchase a separate, older camera for $60, and have it converted.

Or some of these conversion places sell cameras that theyve bought, have been converted, tested, and boxed back up as new. Couple hundreds bucks more than retail on them, but it gives you insurance on the likelihood that they don't send you back a brick.
