Hey lens nerds how hard is it to remove the click from a f-ring?

after playing with my meme 35cctv lens i love not having dedicated f stops

my thoughts
>remove mount
>remove ball or whatever causes click
>add grease from my AK to keep ring from 'spinning'
(should never wear down, shits still gunked in my AK from 500+ rounds)
>I now have another cinema lense

i've got a bunch of f1.7 and f2 "vintage" lenses, not going to tear up a $300 lens

cool shit

my first camera was a pentax, and i've got a bunch of minolta lenses my GF gave me.

gonna experiment with my newly beloved 50mm f1.7 ($20 at a pawnshop)

pic related

the coolest thing about the lens is that it for some strange reason has a tab to lock it in F22, which is oddly green, yet even more odd, this is not an automatic lens of any kind. (old pentax i have says to lock in f22 to use auto aperture)

so i figure i'm going to turn it into a cinema lens, and dremel out more notches in the ring so i can lock it where i choose.

gonna have some fun

PS: is there a site to find manuals? photo friend of mine said he found a service manual for a nikon he fixed, just wondering if there's like a "pirate bay" for service manuals.
