Greetings. I have a dilemma between buying Canon EOS 1100D or NikonD3100. I've been told that these are good for a beginner. I don't have a thick wallet. But I can afford buying one of those. Which one should I pick.
P.S It'll be my very first personal camera. I'm the lowest beginner you can imagine. Which one will be a good pick? Bumping with my very best pics.

Nice pics OP.
Beginner videomaker here.
I'm actually using D3100 with 3 different lenses. I know it's definitely not good for video but that's all I have and I want to do something.
I got the hang of the camera pretty fast.
Neither have no external mic jack tho.
took a pic of a street light with my shitty phone camera and edited it a lil' bit

Go to a store, see how both feel in your hands. The actual differences are negligable to the point of being non-existent for a beginner. You can't go wrong with either, they're both fine cameras. It's like buying a car, have to get one that "feels" right. So go with the one you like the ergonomics (button layout, menu layout, etc) of more.

Get a t3i mate. Decent camera, pretty cheap, and has more functionality than either of the two you listed.
Check my stuff https://www.flickr.com/photos/aandres_gm/ All taken with a t3i (forgive the vsco pls)
Thanks folks, appreciate your help.

Yeah, nothing much but a little something.
Since I don't know how Canon looks I can't help with comparing these two.

get your hands on both. but it's a fact that the imagequality and quality of the body is better on the d3100.
get a cheap manual film SLR. Best way to learn fartography.
