I bought a Yashicamat on the Internet a few Weeks ago.
When it arrived and i opened it i saw that there was still a roll of Film in there.
So i rolled up the film while the Camera was closed and had the roll sitting on my shelf the past weeks.
I was to cheap to let it be developed for 7 Bucks, but still not wanted to throw it away (who knows, might be nudes)
Today i remebered hearing about Color Film Developed in B&W Chemicals as Monochrome negatives.
i Had nothing better to do so i gave it a try.
Will post the 11 Pictures that i got in this Thread.
Sadly there are no nudes, only Pictures from what seems to be a Christmas family party.

these people are all dead
they haunt your negatives and camera
>>2693729
i guess some of them are, the film must have been in the camera for 20-30 years (looks like 80s to me but i could be wrong)

He's right OP. Developing dead peoples pictures is like building on a native american graveyard.
Call the vatican asap, I don't want you to get spooked.
>>2693738
Looks more early 90s to me but yeah.
Cool thread OP.
I hope you don't mind me hijacking it instead of starting my own.
A few weeks ago my photo guy received polluted C-41 chemicals from his supplier in Germany, which had a lot of chlorine in them due so insufficient cleaning.
This led to a number of rolls being fucked up, but I took one of mine and ran them through a high density scan to salvage some B/W from them.
Will post a shit ton of them here.

How come the images look sharp? I thought film was outdated tech?
>>2693900

bretty sure Yashicamats shoot 120. (I think I saw one that could shoot 35mm, too)
If you think that looks sharp, you should see large format
>>2693903
Good, I'm glad. Maybe I posted too many, but I enjoy when other people post a lot of photos, and it's not as if this thread is going to hit imagelimit after all.
The glasses are belay glasses for rock climbing, with mirrors at a 45 degree angle to avoid getting a stiff neck when looking up all the time.
Takes a little time to get used to wearing them, but they are actually very practical, and obviously very stylish.
Pic related is me in those same glasses from a roll that wasn't fucked up.

op here
sorry for not replying, i thought this was long dead.
so if you still read this:
for color folm use the development times of hp5 in combination with your developer.
i use either rodinal 1:25 or caffenol c wich gives the same results and did develop it fo 8 mins, agitating for 2 minutes and then leting it stand.
i think pre watering the film is important because my water came out of the tank green after that step, so i wouldnt skip that.
good luck anon
>>2696873
Which caffenol composition do you use? D'you have any caf-dev'd c41 film scanned to post examples of? Really curious how it looks.
>>2693803
this is the prettiest thing ive ever seen before
>>2696873
this was the first time i did this, but alle the 6x6 scans i posted are caf-def'd
i dont know if i remember correctly but for 500ml i use 5g vit c 8g washing soda and 30g instant coffee
>>2696893

Just developed color in bw dev. My
Images came out like shits. Maybe because of the scanner I used? They're generally fuzzy, almost out of focus.
Anyways, tips for developing?

I did this with a roll of Kodak Gold I found in a zorki my dad bought. A bunch of frames where the lens cap had been left on and a few pictures of the guy's garden (most with a finger covering the lens to some extent)
Wish I had a photo of the camera, the guy had written "REMOVE LENS CAP!" in tip-ex on the back of the camera.
Not found in a camera but this is Afgaphoto Vista Plus 200 developed in Ilfosol 3.

Would you guys recommend
40$ for 10 x ilford pan 400 ?
I did a test roll in the house and was fairly satisfied with my results doing stand w/ Rodinal 1@100 for 1h when shot at box speed and decided to try it out in the field.
Since AGFA Vista 200 is so cheap here, I have about 20 rolls of throwaway film and decided to sacrifice one the last time I went out with my buddy.
The winter sun is pretty harsh at this time of year and every shot that was overexposed slightly is very noisy when I scan it with either epson scan or Vuescan. I feel like I get better results when I underexpose the C41 rather than when I overexpose it as some sites suggest.
