Hey /out/, I'll be climbing mt. baker about 9 hours, and I was wondering if any other climbers on here had any tips or tricks? I know It's not the biggest mountain but any advice is appreciated.

You have cell coverage up there? I didn't when I was up there.
Climbed it about a month and a half ago. Assuming you're doing a standard route the only thing that might be considered sketchy is the Roman wall. Even that isn't too bad.

About what?
Just climb the mountain FFS.
Does baby need someone to hold his hand?
I did it when I was seven. Scampered around the whole way. Drank water from one of the streams without getting sick. I wouldn't do the latter again if that helps.
Too many Californians moving North.

I went hiking and glacier climbing in the Alps last year, and I distinctly remember sending some pictures to friends when we were taking a break high up.
Baker in WA?
Fun climb, bring an ice axe.
Make sure you have sturdy pants for the glissade descent.

You thinking of Mt. Adam's?
Baker is covered by glaciers on all sides. There is no real glissade descent to speak of.

Here's a tip
Looking for fame or attention of any kind is absolutely heretical in mountaneering.
Keep silent and humble about it, nobody cares and you shouldnt either.

Exception being that signing summit registers is permitted.
