I'm hoping this is related enough to /out/ that someone can help me out because I don't have any fisherman connections.

Anyone have any sort of idea as to who i could find to ask to buy fishing bycatch? I see all this stuff showing net fishing catches a shitload of non target species that are almost worthless and want to pretty much just occasionally buy a trashbag of assorted small marine life.

Where the hell do I even begin looking?

I raise a bunch of large fish/reptiles who eat a lot. Figure it'd be a cheap way to have a super varied good diet. Not enormous quantities or anything, would depend how much they wanted to get rid of. Maybe 20 pounds at a time? I could do more or less though depending.

By catch is discarded as it is caught so no that's not an option for you. If you live near the ocean though you can easily catch garbage fish or eels or go down to the pier where they clean or unload fish and get the scraps for free
