I'm planning a solo camping mission for this weekend, which I've never undertaken before. I'm taking a tent and a 30l bag with me. I should be under light forestry (no threat of wildlife except maybe foxes) and within sight of a river. My only resource on the matter is my old scout handbook -- any advice or reading material for me?

Bury your shit 20cm deep and 100m from water
Take a book on your local flora/fauna/fungi or something if you're super keen. Its fun to learn about your environment while /out/
