Just got back from a bicycle touring adventure. Started in Reno two months ago and ended up in Nebraska. Thought I'd share some photos with you guys.

Looking back on the Race Track playa. Barely brought enough water, luckily some tourists topped me up. Roads were brutal, spent a lot of time pushing.
Fast forward to Utah, Bull Valley gorge. I am claustrophobic, this was my one and only slot canyon hike.

The Burr Trail switchbacks... awesome.
Cathedral Valley loop. Lots of sand and pushing.
The White Rim. Probably my favourite section of road within North America. Was carrying 11 litres of water.
Headed for Moab on Long Canyon road.
Going up the Grand Mesa in Colorado. Closed to motorists, so I had an awesome day.
Spent a day going up and over Webster pass and Red Cone. The roads were closed so the place was all mine.
Sunset over the Great Plains.
Had a blast, but next time I think I'll do it on a fat bike.

Incredible. Would you ride through Nevada again? I've only driven through it, but most of that state looks like it would be brutal on a bicyclist

Are you sure bout that? Looked like most of the terrain was fairly negotiable. I would think in the long term those phatty tires would ultimately hold you back more than help, except for in a few instances. Maybe just some more aggressive mountain bike tires would be better? Idunno though.
Also, OP, don't you ever, EVER do this again...
