Looking back on the Race Track playa. Barely brought enough water, luckily some tourists topped me up. Roads were brutal, spent a lot of time pushing.

Spent a day going up and over Webster pass and Red Cone. The roads were closed so the place was all mine.

Are you sure bout that? Looked like most of the terrain was fairly negotiable. I would think in the long term those phatty tires would ultimately hold you back more than help, except for in a few instances. Maybe just some more aggressive mountain bike tires would be better? Idunno though.

Also, OP, don't you ever, EVER do this again...

...without me! Looks awwwwesome.

Pic is a serene snippet of my ride today, when I was taking a break by a 200yr old field and 200yr old stone wall and 200yr old tree.
