Does anyone know what kind of rock this is?

Geologist here. That's definitely a rock. Borderline pebble but I would probably classify it as a stone.

Looks like zebra rock, it gets used in landscaping.
do the white veins fizz when you put HCL on it?
Looks like granite
Anus
Easy, there's only two types of rocks: skippers and sinkers. Looks like you've got yourself a sinker there
Probably some variety of Gneiss.
Or some rock with a clusterfuck of veinlets. Possibly a serpentinite with quartz/calcite veinlets.
Granite, it'll prob polish up pretty nice.

Goes by the trade name of Verde Antique, it's sometimes also called ophicalcite. It's a serpentinite breccia with calcite veins.
