Flint. I have no more information than that.
I hope you already knew this though.

Looks like a stone arrowhead.
Good find OP.

Hope I answered your question.

I think that's called a "scottsbluff" arrowhead.
Looks like a damn good arrowhead to me
Its brown and tings like metal if i tap it with my nail- is that flint?

Archeologist here.
Cut it in half and see what the inside looks like. Take a pic off the cross section and maybe we can tell you more.

more like snarkyologist anon
scottsbluff type isn't found in my area. Also within 50ft of where i found the arrowhead i fornd an antique animal trap and a ruined iphone. motherfucking natural time capsule. Anyway thanks for info- gonna take it to Lexington for proper ID (and to fish). Apparently I have to report it to the state.
3.75" is too long to be an arrowhead. my guess is it's a knifeblade.

that looks very very freshly made op.
either someone fucked around with it and threw it away and you found it or you are lying out of your ass.
Hey Brian
Its not freshly made- another forum said it may be hornstone or chert. The notch may or may not make it cumberland. If its real hornstone cumberland its worth lods o monies but ive grown attached to it.

the chips on the shoulder do look fresh.
It's pretty sloppy to be a modern point though. For really fucked up flint knapping you can count on the Indians.

What stewie
probably from the shawnee tribe based on location. Louisville is pretty much right in the middle of their old land. Aside from that, probably a spearhead
