What hat does /out/ wear? Is the Sunday Afternoons Charter hat gud? It seems fucking expensive for a hat but I like that it has a sweatband built in and adjustable fit.
I maintain and cut new trails for work and wear a hat mostly to keep the sweat and mosquito netting off my face. I'm under a canopy most of the time so sun protection isn't too important.

I really wish I could wear hats, /out/, but my head gets fucking itchy whenever I wear one. Probably because it heats up since my hair is short and compact, and it gets so damn uncomfortable

Try a leather hat pham, worked for me with my buzz cut and itchy as fuck scalp. Or just try out different hat materials, one of them is bound to not itch.

Flat cap in spring / autumn, a baseball cap for summer and a wool hat for winter, if it gets really cold I have a lined wool hat which gets crazy hot!
Last time I went to Florida it was to sunny for a baseball cap and the tops of my ears got burnt so I bought a Panama Jack hat, I probably looked a cunt but my ears remained unburnt for the rest of the trip.
