brought some rocks back
know i have around 5 nice stones biggest was 0.50 ct green sapphire will check mah bucket tomorrow

I setup my recording rig out on the porch to capture the SEVERE THUNDERSTORM that never fucking happened. Before that I went for a walk in the woods with the cat. She follows me like a dog.

Just got back from a game trail follow in the wooded part of our property. Ended up watching and monitoring a neighbor tearing through their part of the woods to ensure they didn't push their slash on to our land like last season, as well as finding a good hammock hang spot.
I'm also getting the lay of the land before I start building a trail for the family to enjoy, all I need now is some flagging.
Went on a hike. It was pretty great. Saw a gopher snake and there were some cacti that were blooming.

That was just an image search that seemed most similar in the variety of stick thickness. I searched 'wood piles' first and they're all nicely stacked logs. :)
I'm in SE USA and it's hot as heck today. Sad I didn't find any snakes when moving the pile.

Those black lizards with the chartruese tail piss me off. They get hits, but it's always just the tail. Really hard to actually hook the fish with them. Plus bluegill and little shit will grab the tails and make you think you have a real fish on.

I just figured I'd try something different, I think my local bass are starting to get tired of my go-to baby brush hog in watermelon candy. Lmao

I mean they will work if you can get past all the bluegill bites and bass hanging on to the tail for 10sec before you lose em and see the hook didn't even pop through.
Just be patient setting the hook I guess. Some of the other chartruese tails have done better for me since they aren't as bright. I did pretty well with the cotton candy. But the solid color chartruese pepper lizards have been the best.
