This yaris is about a thousand times more /out/ than 95% of this board.
>no roof rack
Casual Kayaker detected.

Exactly.
I think it's a fucking sofa cushion at the back.
>>790900
Casual Kayaker here, why does it fucking matter? Why spend the money on a roof rack when I can LITERALLY achieve the same effect by strapping it down with some cheap ass straps I bought at the hardware store
My 99 Contour is pretty out. That's a Pontoon boat frame strapped to the top. The pontoons are deflated and rolled up in the trunk.

It's not the straps, it's what you're strapping to.

My truck is /out/ as fuck, old busted looking (though it's not actually busted paint just looks like shit) 4x4 isuzu trooper with no A/C and a big ass roof rack that can fit a couple of kayaks or canoes or whatever.
Love my truck.

>Can't live in it
Are you kidding?
You can totally live in a yaris.
You can also offroad in it, since it is cheap. You can offroad in any cheap car, and if you think you really need 4 weel drive you're a pussy unless you're going through some seriously rough terrain
Man up man

i live in north Canada man, i had a 1988 Nissan KingCab that was 2WD years ago and i got stuck a few times in winter pretty good. spinning your tires in 2ft of slush for a hour is not fun
the Chevy has driven me through 4ft of snow in -30c no problem and i have not once gotten stuck in it, 2WD is fine in the desert or whatever but when youre offroading here in -30c winter in the middle of nowhere you dont want anything less

OP here. I actually got bogged today about 10 minutes away from where I saw the /out/ as fuck yaris and had to get towed out by a kind stranger.
I'm buying a 4wd as soon as I figure out which one I want. 2wd is fine for most stuff but if it gets muddy, 4wd is required tbqhwyf.
