What do you carry?

That guy is annoying but I can't fault his taste in knives.
I carry the 940-1 and it is far and away the best EDC knife I have ever used.

There's better ways to spend your money.

For real tho, I never thought I would like careying a fixed blade as an EDC. Way less noticeable than a big folder in my pocket
>>789139
Anyone who edcs a fixed blade is on the same level as those insecure cucks who open carry their ARs
These are my cutters. I don't use them all at once of course.
In order of moast used (presently speaking, NOT all-time most used):
-SAK
-Mora (thanks again anon - best gift ever!)
-Schrade Folder (Buck)
-Estwing Hatchet
-Craftsman Multitool
-Kershaw Blur Serrated
-Vaughan Carpenter's Hatchet (retired, future recommission TBD)

Yup, just like the guy with the AR-15
>>789170
The video in the OP is specifically about a guy outdoors who uses it for outdoor things.
>>789181
Like opening paint cans and cutting cardboard?
>>789185
>opening paint cans
No way! Nobody in the knoife threads would dare pop open the lid of a paint can with their Benchmemes and Spydershills. It might damage the edge!

If anon is too broke to buy a $150 Benchmade, he should by a $30 Kershaw and live with that. It will do the job just as well as the Benchmade until he loses it. And he can spend the extra $120 on a birthday present for his mom or something.
>another knife thread
Sweeeeeet
>>789217
On one hand it angers me that someone would use the edge for that, on the other hand it looksl like one of those $5 made in China "survival knives".

Speedo harpy.
Vg10 steel.
It's been my best work knife for 8 years, and it once prevented a mugging.

Sorry. SPYDERCO. Fucking autocorrect.

story about mugging?
>>789871
I was showing my brand new Spyderco to my friend and telling him about how VG-10 is the greatest steel ever invented and the knife was totally worth $150. Some junkie overheard and tried to mug me for my knife. But then he saw his reflection on the edge because I strop with a fine Japanese diamond compound every 12hrs and he backed off.

>offer it to him as a present
>he declines and gives me a fucking first generation Leatherman Wave that he had lying around from the last inspector
>mfw
It's gonna be my new EDC.
>>789391
Describe this "functional testing" and note the big names that failed.
I bet it will be hilarious.
>>790199
Leatherman Wave is best Leatherman
>>790199
if you break any part of it, they will give you the new model, which is much better.
I've
- a hollow ground folding knife for foodstuff and making toothpicks;
- a Martiini (scandi ofc) for woodworking;
- an AK bayonet for rough stuff chopping, batoning, can opening and cutting, digging whatever.
It cost me 0 as I got all those as gifts.
>>789878
Fucking liar. Don't hijack my post.
The actual story is that I was walking home from work, at night. A couple assholes asked me if I had a cigarette, when I said no, they asked if I could spare a buck. Again, I said no. They they started that "hey, where you from" bullshit. I said Baltimore.
Now normally, I've found people in places outside of MD back down and leave me alone, or they get really nice, when I say Baltimore. This was AZ, so they didn't know what it meant.
They demand I hand over my wallet. I say no. At this point, I've worked an open to close shift, and walked a half hour to get home. I'm tired, and really don't feel like fighting them, so I try talking them down. Normally, this also works.
I got punched in the face. I lost my temper, and pulled my harpy. I was ready to gut them.
I gave them one last chance to walk away. Luckily, they listened.
I don't like hurting people, so I give them ample opportunity to leave. If I'm pushed to that point, and they keep going, then fuck'em. I'm outnumbered, an in enemy territory, imma cut a mother fucker.
I walked back to my apartment, and went to bed.
Also, when I bought the thing, it was $125, and I had it for several months before this shit went down.
