What does /out/ sleep on?

I just want to take some kind of informal census of what the board uses, because I simply can't sleep on those cheap roll-up ground pads.

Tits to make it worth your while.
>>
I got a cheap foam pad cause 1 im cheap and 2 all I really need is a head rest + something on my lower back (extra clothes)

This was just with experience from 1 night ive done recently and i could probably see my self buying an inflatable in the future, but im afraid they're not as comfy as I think.

I sleep on my sides, can on my back but naturally when I fall asleep i go on my sides.

It makes me wonder what the hell humans did to sleep before mattresses.

Gorillas will make beds out of palm fronds and shit.

I think growing up without beds might make you a bit less delicate though.

Those tits are nice but in 15 years they'll on the floor.

My tastes lie... elsewhere.

I sleep in a bed because I don't go /out/.

Thermarest NeoAir Venture WV
I tend to sleep on my side and it feels very comfortable
Pretty light and doesn't sound too crunchy like other ones I've looked at

I find that if I arrange my boots into a "U" shape, they make a good enough pillow, then i just sleep on the ground usually.

It'll be a fun 15 years before she is traded in though.

I sleep on a hammock in the summer and a Thermarest Neosomethingorother when it is cold.

I also have a Thermarest cot but almost never use it.
>>
>>787517
A self expanding air mattress, 3/4 length and about 1.5" thick, not super comfortable but it's light and packs small and better than a poke with a stick.

sause? who is that

Depends on the situation.

week+ hikes I take 2 sleeping pads, 1 cheap foam 15 dollar pad, one eggshell design thermarest 40 dollar pad.

3-4 day outings I take those pads, plus a thick comforter I fold in 4'ths and put between them. cheap pad on bottom, then comforter, then thermarest.

2 day car camping trips I go with a nice air matress.

A comfy sleep is worth everything.

What does /out/ use as a pillow? I just use a drybag with my spare clothes in it but it's not that comfortable.

Exactly this for myself as well as I only do tent backpacking with my wife.

I use a Nemo inflatable pillow, it works well and the part that touches you is washable.

14mm EVA pad, cheap, light, warm, indestructible.
Inflatables are for sissies.
>>
I sleep on a full sized air mat, an REI 3.5 camp bed to be specific. I tried doing the thin little shorty backpacking versions but I sleep on my side and anything that thin destroys my shoulder/neck by morning.

Some things I just don't compromise on, namely comfortable boots and a comfortable bed. I'll gladly carry a few extra ounces if it means the difference between a good nights sleep and a fitful night of rolling around a sore shoulder and neck to show for it.

I learned this one the hard way, but your feet and your sleep make or break the entire trip.

3/4 self inflating pad rei brand.

I'm thinking about buying an army style cot for when i camp in my truck. Right now when i do that i use an old futon matress but it is getting pretty rank seeing as i am normally fishing all day when i do this.

I used this in my last trip. It was only okay.
