Hiking in Socal heat. 100 degress. Shorts or pants?

How far? Terrain?
I hike in pants no matter the conditions.
In fact, my job requires I wear a long sleeve shirt even in 110 degree heat doing intense physical labor.
Depends. If there are foxtails, pants all the way.
Pants and long sleeves
Why do you think muzzies cover just about everything in the desert?
Absolute madman
I don't own shorts and I sure's tits won't go hiking with bare legs. Chin up chief, I used to hike Runyon Canyon at high noon in LA in muh jeans and you get used to it just fine.
Nothing's more aggravating than having tall grass, palms, nettles, and other flora fuckery titillating your bare legs all day. Plus flies and shit

Gonna go to Socal for a couple of months. Any good trails to hit up? I'm looking for any terrain as long as it has some good spots.

Deserts have chaparral that will scratch your legs. That's why cowboys wear chaps.

Loose fitting pants. You'll get sun protection, which will spare you having hot lets at night... and it'll protect you from walking through shrubs.
Well defined trail you could use shorts. Bushwacking and exploration gonna have to recommend pants and boots.
