Did I make a good choice for a general /out/door knife?
>>784867
can you sharpen it?
>>784867
Reppin da UK
>>784867
Sure, why not?
Full tang
It's got an edge
I'm sure it'll do everything a knife is supposed to do.
>>784867
Bit big isn't it? I mean wouldn't it be, obtrusive? Cumbersome as it were? Around 3.5 to 4 inches is all I care to have in my person just for comforts sake.

>-hollow grind
>-coated blade
>-canvas sheath
>-too long
>-choil
>-probably some average stainless steel
Flat ground, Scandi or Convex over Hollow every time.
Carbon over stainless every time if you intend to be a woods knife (less focus on food and away from seawater)
3-4'' blade length for general purpose knife
I could go on but I won't.
tl;dr not what I would have bought.

The fuck is a hollow grind
>>785272
I'm curious as well

pic related and how it's made.
basically theres zero benefit to a hollow grind other than cost saving.

It's a fuckin knife OP. Good job. Go beat it to hell. When you get uptight enough to be like anon here, you will know exactly whay you want and can buy that knife for $300 and post lots of pics of it not being used.
>>785458
I didn't realise how much better you were than me. My apologies King Dickbag.
>>785505
scrolling down the first page

>>785524
Reusable. Save the planet one dickbag at a time
>UK rains a lot

It's like you want to bleed to death
>>785458
Your NEET knowledge was too great for our rugged minds to comprehend.

University of Kentucky. I'm an Amerifag.
op i know you spent a few minutes and took several pictures so how is it possible that a picture of three stationary objects on a table still has parts of the subject out of frame
>>785566
Oh. Never mind. Carry on.
>>785570
Trying to keep the shit on the table out of frame.
I would rather go with the ontario ranger TFI
Had a reaper for a while, ended up giving it away. Here's my thoughts if you want them
>Pros:
420hc is dead simple to get a very keen edge on
Swept angle makes a very nice snap cut
Pretty light for how much working edge it gives you
The finger choil gives you a lot of control
>Cons:
Temper is pretty soft, if you use it hard the edge will get dented.
Between the grind and the light weight it doesn't make much of a chopper.
The snaps on the sheath rust like motherfuckers (and you'll probably inadvertently cut the strap off at some point).
Little awkward for anything where you need to use the tip, due to length.
End of the day it's a blade, it'll sharpen hotdog sticks real good.
>>784867
I don't know but you made a poor choice for a hat.
>>785591
y-you could just move the stuff on the table out of the way
>>785458
They're easier to sharpen
They're stronger for chops
>>784867
lol bin that knife op
buck makes sexy knives but not a very good quality more akin to mass produced chinese crap.
>>785766
It's no shit just gonna be for going \out\
