Guys I'm planning to do a 15 day hike to raise money for anti suicide, now, I know we all want me to kill myself but that can wait until after for the delicious irony.
Now here's the thing, rather than a tent I'd rather use a waterproof bivvy bag (it rains a lot in Ireland) but I can't find any for a reasonable price, maybe I'm just a scrub at buying equipment but any help is appreciated. Thanks very much.

buy a tarp and some poles and some 550 cord

Bring a pillow too. 15 days on anything but a mattress is going to fuck you up unless you spent the last 6 months sleeping in a POW camp.

If he's in Ireland he could probably get the British one for much cheaper and it's just as good.

Thanks to everyone, I'm gonna check those out, I also had an idea at 5 am which is probably retarded but I'm going to give a go one day when I'm out camping
I was thinking, could one improvise something similar against the rain with two bin bags? Set down your sleeping mat and then your sleeping bag, pull one bin bag up over your legs to your torso, then, get another bin bag and cut a square opening beside where your head will be so you can breathe, pull that down over your body, overlapping with the first bin bag, turn towards the hole and sleep.
Granted that means you've one square where your face is exposed to the elements but at least you can breathe, and it would be less than comfortable but at least it shelters you from the rain.
