Whats up /outists/
As the title states I am looking for a reusable water bottle, I prefer a bottle made of metal because I do not want to drink chemicals.
Preferably 0.5L or slightly more.
Could you guys help me /out/
Thanks in advance.
:)
I own a Klean Kanteen with wide opening and 1.9l capacity (they have smaller ones of the same type). Wouldn't recommend it as a) the bottle doesn't tighten properly (it leaks), b) it was fucking expensive and c) after 10h your water will have a metal taste. In fact, this was the biggest dissapointment I had regarding to my outdoor gear, as I thought I had bought a product that will last me a lifetime and it comes out to be less funktional than ordinary plastic bottles.
tldr: Klean Kanteen metal bottles with wide opening are worse than simple PET bottles.
I use an HDPE Nalgene or Gatorade bottles made of PET if I want to save the weight.
Drinking from plastic bottle isn't what's going to kill you.
i know this is a troll thread but imagine being so fucking incompetent that you can't even buy a water bottle without asking permission from 4chan
>I prefer a bottle made of metal because I do not want to drink chemicals.
well, there's your first mistake

>I do not want to drink chemicals
Protip: water is a chemical.

Can't beat a basic plastic bottle.
>worried about chemicals
>implying any water other than the initial purchase is going to be in there longer than a day or two
Any refills aren't going to be in there long enough to soak up anything bad.
And even if a refill was left there long enough, we're talking tiny traces son. Tiny tiny tiny traces. Like negligible traces.
Worrying about plastic bottles from anything besides an environmental point of view is paranoia in the extreme.

Gatorade or nalgene. Metal water bottles are dumb for a variety of reasons. Either of these can boil water over a campfire if your water filtration fails. For dayhikes I use old smartwater bottles because they fit in my hand better.
