Pretty happy today as I found a US GI poncho liner at a local surplus store for $15 dollarydoos. This might not seem exciting to you yanks but here in criminal island the minimum price for a woobie is pic related. It seems fairly thin but is surprisingly warm for what it is.
Also picked up a massively thick 90% wool Aus army jumper for $15 as well.

I got this last month and it's fucking amazing. It has like a billion pockets so I take it fishing and just wear half my tackle in the pockets. It's a weird kinda sharkskin material that's very waterproof. It's just a softshell so you'd have to layer underneath but it still has a fleecy interior so it has at least some thermal properties. Also arguable the most important part, it's tacticool as fuck.

It also has velcro points on the upper arms to stick patches onto so mine has a foxhound patch since I regularly pull my dick to metal gear.
Also it's worth noting that the price is due to it being chinese, and the chinese sizes are a fucking pain due to tiny little oompa loompa gooks. I'm 6'4" and about average build so I had to get the behemoth chese size just to have it fit like in the image.
There was a guy selling a large army ruck, 2 FLCs, 4 sustainment pouches, elbow/knee pads, ruck liner, and some other stuff on eBay for about 120$.
I bought it just for the ruck to be honest, those things are great, the other stuff is just random goodies as far as I'm convened. Now I just need to paint over the acu pattern with something woodlandsy.

My first "out" knife was a chefs knife my mother was throwing out because it was "tarnished", it was just patina on the high carbon blade but mom didn't like it, it held and edge forever and did everything I asked of it, I would use it still if it hadn't been in the trunk of my car when it got stolen.... The only problem with these knives is the handles start to come a bit loose after an extended amount of shock and vibration. Battoning might cause this.

I have one of these. Packs to about the size of a nalgene and it's fairly light. The foot pump thing is worthless though, so just blow through the valve instead. Pretty comfy as long as you're not putting too few pressure points on it. If you lean on your elbow you'll feel everything but if you're properly laying on it it's pretty comfy.
