Pretty happy today as I found a US GI poncho liner at a local surplus store for $15 dollarydoos. This might not seem exciting to you yanks but here in criminal island the minimum price for a woobie is pic related. It seems fairly thin but is surprisingly warm for what it is.

Also picked up a massively thick 90% wool Aus army jumper for $15 as well.

I got this last month and it's fucking amazing. It has like a billion pockets so I take it fishing and just wear half my tackle in the pockets. It's a weird kinda sharkskin material that's very waterproof. It's just a softshell so you'd have to layer underneath but it still has a fleecy interior so it has at least some thermal properties. Also arguable the most important part, it's tacticool as fuck.
>>
>>781583

It also has velcro points on the upper arms to stick patches onto so mine has a foxhound patch since I regularly pull my dick to metal gear.

Also it's worth noting that the price is due to it being chinese, and the chinese sizes are a fucking pain due to tiny little oompa loompa gooks. I'm 6'4" and about average build so I had to get the behemoth chese size just to have it fit like in the image.
>>
There was a guy selling a large army ruck, 2 FLCs, 4 sustainment pouches, elbow/knee pads, ruck liner, and some other stuff on eBay for about 120$.

I bought it just for the ruck to be honest, those things are great, the other stuff is just random goodies as far as I'm convened. Now I just need to paint over the acu pattern with something woodlandsy.

Surplus isn't widely used because it's 'tacticool', it's because it's cheap as hell and easy to get anywhere while being generally very effective at fulfilling its purpose.

What you mean to say is

For new gear I usually shop at backcountry.com or "semi new" from REI's garage sales. (You have to be a member and items are usually 50-65% off) for some items I don't mind buying used I bid on ebay or geartrader.com

I live in the US so shipping is usually free or very little, I'm not sure if it'll cost an arm and a leg for you if you live outside the US

The only problem with these knives is the handles start to come a bit loose after an extended amount of shock and vibration. Battoning might cause this.

What is the cheapest, most compact sleeping bag you guys can recommend?
>>
>>791226
I just nabbed a down bag off of aliexpress, pic related but not the exact one I picked.

Pros-
Down bag, super cheap (like normally $200+) these ~$80)

Ultra compactable compared to synth

Awesome weight to warmth ratio compared to synth.

Cons:
Comes directly from China (if that matters, and most shit comes from there anyways even more $$ if you wanna buy a cottage industry bag)

Takes a few weeks to arrive

Down isn't ethically sourced (again if that matters)

Smells bad (like industrial, dying chickens smell)

Vendors on Aliexpress can be shysters

Antifascists are more often than not pro-Palestine though, and against Israel

That being said I have no experience with German ones who really look annoying and dumb. And I'm saying this as an antifascist

just get a buff like any other normal person. shemaghs are still worn by hippies in Spain so you'd be good to go too

I have a similar one, chinese and cheap. It's held out pretty well for the past two years, but gas leaks every now and then when screwing it to the cannister. Get someone else to light it after that, trust me

Nearly every time Fascism takes over a country, it rides in on a platform of anti-fascism. It's almost as if nationalist socialism and internationalist socialism are close to identical.
>>
>>792719
Wrong. It usually rides in on a platform of moralism, populist nationalism, anti-socialism, and "making $country great again".
>>
>>792741
and countries need to be made great again after long periods of marxism

they're not warm really, double/single layer tightly woven cotten twill. they do help keep warmth in as they are brilliant wind breakers

>had a yellow shemagh for when I'd do work outside since I sweat a lot and would just generally use it to wipe sweat or pour water on and put across my neck
>dog has complications with blood and has to go to the vet
>leave shemagh with dog so she'd have something familiar in an unfamiliar setting and I'd often tie it around her when going for walks at night since she was dark as a nigger
>dog has to be put down so doesn't come home
>the vet somehow loses my shemagh

Fuck everything.
>>
>>792791
losing your pupper and your shemagh in one day, my deepest condolences anon

obviously the vet is just running a racket to acquire shemaghs, hankies, and scarves. "oh yeah sorry your pup had to be put down no need to come-in tho"

Maybe they thought you were training a dog to blow up Israel

It just kind of annoys me because I left it there for her and they couldn't find it when we went there to sign paperwork and see her for the last time.

Just for clarification I do miss my dog more than the shemagh.

Step one- Go to Amazon
Step two- Search "backpack", "hiking pack", "day pack", "I'm a faggot"
Step three- Set your price range to 30 shillings and below
Step four- Pick whichever one you like the look of since they'll all be shit regardless

Recommend a cheap sleeping pad? I don't care about warmth (i live in the tropics its hot as fuck) just comfort. Packing down small would be nice too.

I have one of these. Packs to about the size of a nalgene and it's fairly light. The foot pump thing is worthless though, so just blow through the valve instead. Pretty comfy as long as you're not putting too few pressure points on it. If you lean on your elbow you'll feel everything but if you're properly laying on it it's pretty comfy.

one of these might be a little more comfy than the default cheapo blue pad, if you're willing to sacrifice durability, weight, r value and look ridiculous. Also takes forever to blow up. Still, cheap and comfy
>>
>>796671
this thing is pretty decent. for 25 bucks you can't even complain. It's warm, felt warm in 35 degrees in my tent no prob, and it condenses down to the size of a grapefruit.

God damn. If I was /out/ with her I'd just bend her over and fuck her in the ass.
