I'm thinking on a 3 day hike, instead of bringing 6L of water, would I be able to substitute 3L with pepsi max? Or is that a bad idea?

Also, should I bring money in a sock or something?

You're better off bringing about 4L of mountain dew

Pack around $200 in 1's into the sock you wear in your boots, that should see you through, there are plenty of places to stop and spend on the trails
