I saw a post a while back where someone mentioned a GPS like app where you can also download trail information and such. Anyone know what it was?

Is that Coffin Rock?

osmand, orux, view ranger, etc.
>>
>>773323
Haven't heard a name for it, it's just an outcrop over a spring along the North Fork river in Missouri as far as I know.

Is view ranger premium worth it?
>>
>>773348
I only tried the free version, and since it only reads .gpx files I wouldn't pay for it since osmand does the same (except for the buddy beacon function), but lets you build maps.

The paid version supposedly gets trails and stuff from the park services and such so I figured it would have a lot more. There's not much near me at all on the free version.

Look for .gpx files of the trails near you on google. Download said .gpx files. Import into view ranger or osmand. Open them and follow the yellow brick road.

There's a national parks app now that is free.

Good luck with that, m8. Even human mycologists have trouble identifying them sometimes.

Just need to identify poisonous vs useless vs homeopathic vs hallucenogenic flora m8O.

Nah m8 don't. Those you want to learn in the field from someone who knows
>>

Honestly, go with people who know what they're doing. At the very least, get a guide book. Guide books I've found to be much better than apps which are kind of gimmicky. Look around your area for a mycological society. Membership usually is not expensive, if it costs anything, and you'll get a large knowledge base from a wide variety of people.

There are multiple apps.
They're not all the exact same. I'm looking for the one he's talking about so an exact name of the app would help
