What do you wear for sun protection while /out/?
Black master race!

A massive sombrero. No joke. They are awesome for gardening/farming. (Pic related, is mine.) Be warned, it is hard as hell to find one that doesn't look completely stupid. Most this large have "MEXICO" written across them in massive colorful letters, are made of foam, have that pointy cone in the center, and/or tassels and bells.

Interesting.
My skin
I'll just wear loose clothes if the sun is really that bad. I don't mind 2nd degree sunburns at all. I'll be damned if I can't walk on this earth because the thing that gives us life also gives us cancer. I dont care. I dont care at all.

Goddamn, that's a little much.
Just get bronze'd up a lil and you won't burn after 30min in the sun.
That does require going outside or even going to a tanning place where there are probably cute girls, so it might be asking a little much from 4chan browsers.
Baseball cap and sunscreen. Ain't nothing fancy for me.

Well. We found the guy who does the gay porn.
I don't have woods near me, so I'm stuck with the desert regions around Nevada. I have to bike 8 miles to get to the entrance for the trail, then walk about 6-8 miles through desert before I get to some mountain shade.
If you can stand the heat, I wear pants, long sleeve easy breath shirt. Then, when I get to my secluded spot, I strip down and let that sweet, sweet desert air kiss my asscrack.

Maybe when you're missing half your face from 20 different excisions/biopsy sites from basal cell carcinoma you will think differently. About 50% of people reaching age 65 will have a basal cell somewhere. Almost always the tops of the ears, nose, other sun exposed areas. It is virtually guaranteed. I have a patient who is horribly scarred from not recognizing it early, which is not easy.

You imply that I fear death
This is just a journey and I've already seen all I wish to see, the world is my oyster until I die and I will bow to nothing not even nature. You are supposed to skid broadside into the afterlife saying "wow, what a ride!".

You probably won't die from it anon.

I didn't say it would kill me. I was implying I would kill me whenever life becomes too silly.

You're being silly, anon. Guess it's time for Sudoku.

You are the toughest shit poster here
Sunglasses, baseball cap, and SPF 50. What else would I need?
>>766961
Testicles
>>766967
Well those don't really help prevent damage from UV rays.
>>766970
It keeps you from crying when SPF-50 doesnt work
Baseball cap, lots of sunscreen. Long sleeves sometimes. Facial hair helps a bit.
I've been thinking about legionnaires caps lately. They look pretty stupid these days because we associate them with kindergarteners (if you give a shit about fashion) but they're very practical for keeping your neck and face protected. Some even come with pic related for Dune cosplay.

Here in the North country where summer days are near arctic in length, I fish 15+ hrs straight in the sun. I have used spf50 applying it every 1-2 hours. By the end of the day it starts to form a disgusting 1/4" thick gummy film that gets all dirty and rubs off in little gritty specks. The sunblock mixes with sweat and leaks into my eyes, clouds up my contact lenses, by the end of the day my eyes are all bloodshot, hair is greasy, clothes ringed with stains. Buffs and sunshields have eliminated all this.
Bottom line = sunblock just isn't a realistic option if you spend serious time out on the water. You need a physical barrier to block the sunlight.

What's your point? I could show you pics of biopsies I've done in my office, but that'd violate hippa.
And obviously you "don't die from it." The point is getting chunks of your face carved off. And the fact that it has an extremely high likelihood of occurring.

can I be Baron Harkonnen?
i have lotion that has sunscreen in it, applied daily. if i'm going to be out i do that + a boonie hat and maybe a shemagh if it isn't hot
>>767600
If you end up going through with it I can cut you a premium deal on little boys.

What the fuck nigger I fish from a boat in Texas in 95F-100F heat with unrelenting sun beating down on me. I reapply sunscreen every few hours, making sure to rub the cream into my skin. Sure, it smudges my sunglasses but I've never, NEVER, experienced a "1/4" thick gummy film that gets all dirty and rubs off in little gritty specks". You must be doing something wrong.

Jesus. Almost every medical professional I've ever met has exhibited some form of psychopathic behavior on and off the job. You are no exception.

Did you think no one would notice that you just badly paraphrased a piece of a Hunter S. Thompson quote? I noticed. Fuck you.
