For me, it's easier to carry and eat. I can stash the bars in any one of a dozen places & eat it with one hand as opposed to having a large bag of loose pieces that can spill, etc.

Nature Valley has 190 calorie bars with 10 grams of protein.
Literally put 40 of them in my pack(they all fit into one pocket).
