You know Mt. St. Helens erupted not that long ago and there's records of what it was like, right?
Anyway, despite the quakes there's been no magma bulges or anomalous gas releases so the chance of an eruption is low. According to UW geologists the mountain is still "recharging" from the last one.

I was living in Portland the last time this happened. You'll have a very distant view and a shit ton of ash. Happily, volcano ash makes awesome fertilizer for your garden.

He took 7 minutes to say "Maybe. Maybe not. I don't fucking know. At any time it could or it couldn't." i blame his parents.

Blame Oklahoma's fracking. It has woken up tons of shit that's been dormant for millions of years and kickstarted a shit load of other stuff that should now be quiet.

someone didn't have beans around the campfire last night.

The last time it blew 57 people died and most of them were close to the mountain. Although your car will be fucked from all the ash it'll suck in.
Rainier is the one to worry about, not only because it's bigger but because it's closer to more population centers. When that goes everything between Orting and Tacoma will be wiped out by a 40ft wall of mud and rock making a beeline for Puget Sound.

Can God be trusted?

Not in terms of plate tectonics. Which is how a 3.5 in Ok can trigger a 7.2 around the other side of the hemisphere. The fracking in Ok is widening the same canton that Yellowstone is sitting over.
>>759908
USGS has St. Helens as normal activity.
They have an alert map if you want to stay up to date

Dude. Don't say Yellowstone in a volcano thread. Especially with words like "widening" and earthquake(s). That's just not cool. (Slams head into sand)

Try Yellowstone.
I just want to share some volcano pRon
