Is my backpack good for going /out/?
I wanna start doing ultralight hiking but don't wanna spend any more than necessary. Not sure what model but it is a Jansport.
Does it do the job and does it feel comfortable? if so yes it works if not then no.

Ultra light camping is normally around 15 pounds and to be honest my basic gear which is food, first aid kit, axe, knife, fire kit and cooking hear weights at 15 pounds with no sleeping bag or tent. Being realistic I just carry the 45 pounds and call it that. Its not bad. My tent is a rain jacket so I just wear my tent and on a hot summer day it keeps me cool. (Tent is a 1962 Vietnam styled bottomless rain jacket tent/tarp)

literally all I need is knife, clothes on my back, water filter (and this is really optional, I've used it like twice), tarp, firestarter, fishing kit, wrist rocket, cordage, hammock.
This is easily a week /out.
6-8#'s max.
I do toss in a few snacks too to last until I've started capturing food.
