Have you ever tried it? With pipes and cigars, the addictive effect really isn't there. I don't think there is anyone who could truly say they're addicted to cigar smoking.

That's what I used to think because anti-smokers preach "tobacco IS cancer" or "one puff and you're addicted." But over time I'd continually get a whiff of a nice cigar or pipe in the distance being smoked by a nice old fellow. So eventually I tried that shit and it's enjoyable as fuck and calming.
Cigarettes are disgusting though and I'll never touch them.
Pipes are great because they smell and taste good, you can get a small bowl for short smokes, and it's no big deal if it goes out and you have to relight it.
Disadvantages though...
