>talk to her
>act friendly
>hang out in the water with her for an hour
>she's ready to leave
>she realizes her stuff is missing
>I say I'll look for it
>get out, get dressed, walk around a few minutes
>come back, tell her I couldn't find it
>it's 20 degrees F (-7C), late, almost sunset, storm moving in, getting colder
