I can make any tool I want with a knife. Can make cordage out of bark to make a bow. Can make a hand axe or a primitive axe with stone. Can boil water in my water bottle. Got warm clothing. Plenty of lakes and trout streams around. All I need are sticks to make a trap.

Thats what we call micro jig here in eu. Small soft rod with 1-9 grams test and very thin line, thats why it looks like nothing on the reel... But actually it was like nothing left after some usage. I tend to cut some lenght of most used end off and so it shortens. Now i have japanese braided line on. Have pic related for winter fishing - i guess it could be usable for survival fishing kit ;D

We call them cheburashka... Because it looks like the head of a russian doll :D ... Easy to change weights on your lure depending on where you fish (depth, distance, weather) they make them from lead and tungsten...
