How'd you like your hike up Manoa Falls, anon? The lower half is nails on chalk board retarded for me. Ever since they cleaned up the trail it is flooded with fat assed tourists and decrepit old people.
Where else did you hike? Haiku Stairs? Mt. Olympus? 3 Peaks?

You that Mauritania anon?

Where dis?

Have you taken that trail that starts from the falls and goes up into the watershed reserve? 10/10 rainforest, and I've only seen one other person on it. A couple hours takes you through some great views and then down into the lower punchbowl.
Haven't done any of those other hikes; just a bunch on the north shore, and Kaena point. So many nesting albatrosses there; I wish I'd had my .22

No, never done the water shed. I've been here for 13 years, and there are so many places that I haven't seen. Lmao at that Albatross comment; you'd have to fight your way off the point from all the hippies that would try and kill you.

No

Cool pictures everyone.
One day ill afford a semi decent camera beside my cellphone. But at the same time ive been more into taking video then still photographs.. But taking a more professional video camera indawild isn't exactly light weight.

What's your favorite hike on the island? I'm going back in September.
I think this was the best hike I've done on Oahu; forgot what it's called, but it's the next ridge over from that dinosaur ranch place.
>>725960
Nearing the summit. Someone had died there a couple weeks before.
>>725958
>Mt. Olympus
is pretty good. This is the highest summit of the Island. Can be done in a day round trip with fair weather, or sleep overnight at the top.
>Haiku Stairs
(my favorite), needs planning because it is technically illegal to hike it. Not due to your abilities, but due to land rights disputes. For this hike you will need to hit the stairs before 6am to beat the guard at the base. Some of the neighbors will also rat you out if you make noises, so you have to go super ninja stealth mode. On the trip down you will be harassed by the guard- pay him no bother...you hiked the ridge line from Honolulu side ;-)
This is by far and away one of the gnarliest hikes I have ever done, and I have hiked all over the globe. If you're afraid of heights, don't go. If it's raining, don't go. If there is someone in your group afraid of heights, don't go. At least twice a year some knucklehead will hike it alone, only to fall and either go missing for good or the body to be found some months later. The fall potential is a 10/10. Ropes, a harness, and gloves are recommended but not necessarily needed- you just need to pay attention for the first 2/3 of the ascent.
People hike and camp overnight and you may bump into others who came from the south side or the east side. Last I was up there, there was one of the largest natural honey bee hives I had ever seen.
>Three peaks
Another one where you do not want to go if you are afraid of heights. If you slip, you die. If you're stuck, you get picked by Search and Rescue and get to see your name in the news paper. This is a short hike, say about 3 hours total. I would recommend fingerless gloves, shoes with a very flexible sole and a climbing helmet for the last peak.
