Commercial pin tumblers, especially Chinese (and American) ones are a fucking joke though when it comes to locking up pretty much anything worth actual money.

If you need a good lock, you go for a disk detainer. Otherwise anyone with a decent set of picks and miniscule knowledge will be behind the lock.

Bosnianbill on Youtube has hundreds of good videos on lockpicking and proper locks, he's pretty much the guy that drives the lockpicking community online.

Yeah, but usually, you can just bust your way through a door, or cut the lock off. That's how most theft happens. The lock basically just is there to deter lazy thieves, and/or psyche people out so they'll think breaking in is harder than it is.
