>>
cigars fucking stink

besides everyone knows that smoking a cigar is just a mental substitute for what you really want to do - suck a dick
>>
Only reason to buy cigars is to replace the tobacco with weed family.

Well... I smoke pic related filled with Chocolate Flake from Samuel Gawith, it' simply delicious.

And Cuban Cohibas are the way to go for cigars. The Dominican ones are decent, but I like the Cuban ones better. There are a handful of places near me that sell Cuban cigars because South Florida. Even before they lifted the trade restrictions.

Unfortunately I can't make it through a cigar without needing a cig.
>>
I don't like them myself, my friend decided he enjoys them because his lad friends (who hate/disagree with smoking cigarettes and weed) started buying them on nights out because they think it makes them look cool

Super gay
>>
>>718122
One of the reasons I never smoke cigare in public is that faggots like that are ruining it for all of us.
Btw. One of fav cubans is H. Uppman Magnum 46 and Partagas No. 2 and also a Montecristo but can't remember Which one now.
>>
I'm a fan of the Sweet Aromatic variety. I never have or smoke these things except when I plan a special hiking/camping excursion with friends. I always pack one each and it's such a wonderful treat at the end of of a long ass day

That's not how it works. Cigars like that are made to be dumped out and rolled back up with green. You can get cheap normal cigars that will be far better than those things.

first of all, I'm a fairly experienced smoker (although not an addict or habitual smoker) and i've enjoyed the aroma and taste of backwoods for a long time. i don't care if it's cheep trash terbacky, it's good and i like it.
>cheap normal cigars
any particular suggestions? i've smoked a lot of them and backwoods have a sumptuous sweet & chocolaty goodness that evokes a lot of pleasure after a dirty bitter day out
>>
>>718214
Just go to a decent cigar shop and ask about some decent <$5 cigars. Or lots of the bigger companies that sell $10-$20 cigars are starting to make cigarillos.

If you are really going to smoke a cigarillo, at least get a Black & Mild like a G. Wood tip or nothin.
>>
>>718042
Dedicated pipe smoker here. It's probably best to start with a cob - it's cheap, so if you break or lose it, or decide it isn't for you, you're out a whopping $6. There are also no special considerations, while briar or meerschaum have some care & feeding concerns. The downside is that they'll "burn out" and get sour after like a year, but you just go get another when that happens.
>>
>>718214
Dutch masters sweet green.
Cheap as fuck and pretty good.

Havent had a backwoods in a while but i remember being horribly disappointed when I realized the "natural leaf wrapper" is bullshit. Unwrap that leaf and you will find the tobacco is actually rolled in paper. The "natural leaf" is added to make the cigars look authentic.
>>
>>718266
Dutchies are for blunts as well
>>
>>718266
they cost like $0.70 each whatddya expect. for that price they're delicious

But they have all those layers so sometimes it can be a pain. Original Swishers a best.

How is this all /out/ related again?
>>
I bought this set of waterproof SS cigar tubes at a yard sale. Thought they would be nice to keep a smoke in when I go kayak fishing. One had a Rocky Petal reserve cigar from 1993 in it. It is sealed in a glass test tube looking thing. Is it still smokable or is it just some kind of weird collectible? Should I smoke or try to sale?
>>
>>718100
Nice, rich ass mahfucka here, I roll white owls- pineapple nigga.
>>
>>718122
Well cigars can be objectively more cool than cigarettes for sure. They actually have flavor, and they aren't addictive. Plus you can smoke them in public which you can't do with weed. I'd wager there are more cigarette and DUDE WEED tryhards than there are cigar people.

I've had the backwoods honeyberry, but the honeybourbon will probably be my next buy. I can't do too many because for some reason it still fucks up my lungs even though cigars don't get inhaled. I hate having asthma.
>>
>>718381
Note the addictive and flavor jab was at cigarettes, i know weed can be great and non addictive.
>>
>>718042

I'll second the corncob suggestion. Missouri Meerschaum are the best, and are still dirt cheap. I find cobs are easier to smoke without fucking up, as well. Less condensation pooling at the bottom while smoking, easy to pack, easy to clean and handle when you are done.

>>717994

I've personally taken quite a liking to the ACID cigarillos. They aren't too expensive (~1USD each), have a nice taste from the infusion, and smoke well with a pleasing smoke taste as well.
>>
I used to like swishers when I was 18.

Tried them again about a week ago and it was trash. Too smoky and burned too quick. Left me wanting a backwoods. Then I finally found a backwoods that i had left in my pockets and it got a little damp and crooked. It burned too slow and was too harsh.

How to you guys carry your cigars so that they don't get all fuckey? I was thinking of putting my cigars in an altoids tin with my cigar cutter and matches, but I don't know if it would be large enough.
>>
>>718001

I'm just shitposting. Better than Backwoods for sure. The rare occaision I buy a cigar it's normally a Cohiba since they don't taste all hot like lots of cigars. I'm down with Dominican Cohibas but there is something about the Cuban ones with the yellow wrappers. I gotta grab a couple one day, I haven't had a cigar since my goddaughter was born. Grabbed those Cohiba Toros for that.
>>
>>719239
It's gotta be easier these days. Idk what the deal is with them now since all the trade stuff is habbening. But even with the embargo, lots of random places still sold Cuban cigars here since South Florida. And a handful of places on the beach carry them too since Canadians gotta have their Cuban cigars.
>>
Anyone tried any of the dominican Romeo Y Julietas? I have a few of them I've been saving.

I bought them wanting a better cigar than your standard gas station cigarillos, but you can find them at the grocery store so Im not sure on quality. I also have a pretty fat churchill I've been wanting to try.
>>
>>719258
It will be fine. They are just a more popular brand. Are you at least keeping them humid? If not, they will taste stale and won't burn the best. You can kinda bring them back if you get them humid again so they at least burn ok but they won't taste as good.
>>
>>719267
They are in the freshbag or whatever, and the churchill is still in the tube. I keep them in my desk cabinet and the door is pretty snug. I may break them out this weekend for zombie jesus day just to check.

I think it will be fine. The cabinet door is pretty heavy and is hard to open and shut. The only worry I have is if there is an opening in the back for wires that I can't remember.

Either way Im looking to get hopefully a handcrafted humidor with some artistic shit on it. I just haven't looked.

For day to day smoking and for when I go out MonteCristo minis.

For a Sunday afternoon with some scorch I'll go with a MonteCristo No.4

If I'm going to splurge it'll be a Cohiba Maduro Magicos

Key to cigars is having the right moisture content... for me a humidor is a must.

>How is this all /out/ related again?
Can't speak for the other anons here, but the only time I'll smoke a blunt (or a cigar, even) is in the woods -- I dislike the way the smell soaks into furniture.
>>
I dont smoke tobacco or weed but I would choose
pot long before a cigar.

Cigars taste and smell like shit and I get bored of the process very quickly.

I'd rather smoke some good pot in a pipe and have the added benefit of getting high.
>>
>>719526
You haven't found the right cigar then. Cigars aren't really a one and done activity. Some people try dozens of brands and flavors before they narrow down what they like. There are a variety of flavors. It can be an acquired taste.
>>
>>717994
>actually smoking a backwoods
are you retarded? the only reason these are still sold is so you can dump out the tobacco and roll them into a blunt.
>>
>>719553
Oh is that a fact? And are you a Backwoods™ Cigars representative? Do you work in Backwoods R&D? Are you in product development down at Backwoods? No? Ok then.
>>

You could always go for some kind of tupperware type container, or go all the way and buy a small portable humidor. They sell ones that will fit 2 regular sized cigars. Either that, or get like, one of those aluminum tubes that they sometimes sell single cigars in.
>>
>>719679
Cigarettes are expensive lots of places. Like $6 a pack here in FL, but it was $9-$11 when I lived in Chicago. I had to drive out of the county to buy cigs at a decent price.

Cigars and cigarillos are cheap because they aren't taxed the same.

There is a tribe that has like, an acre of land along the main highway fairly close to me that sells everything without state and federal taxes.

Actually I do live fairly close to the Seminole reservation. I work nearby/in their little territory some days. They have a ton of tobacco shops. They accept casino comp dollars.

They aren't much cheaper than cigs most other places though. I'm sure they make bank on them, but saving 50¢/pk isn't really worth going out of my way.
