Why you so keen to get to Borden op? Plenty of better paddles out there, Myrtle lake and bowron lake circuit in BC. Maligne lake and spirit island (jasper) good fishing. Lake land provincial park in Ab and the surrounding lakes on crown land. White water on the higher sections of the north sask.... Pic related but not mine.
I’d like to have a square transom canoe fitted with an electric trolling motor for fishing.
I live close to the BWCA and have only been out there for work with 3 other guys, 2 canoes, and a bunch of work gear. This summer's schedule should let me have almost a week off between jobs and plenty of country to explore. I just don't enjoy the outdoors as much with other people and having to abide by a work schedule so I'm looking forward to some solo paddling.

I live in Saskatoon so getting picked up in Borden will work out nice. This is my first solo so I wanted to do it on something I know.
