Thinking about setting up a little /out/ store on the side. What kind of stuff would you want to see on it? What kind of stuff would you buy?
>inb4 gear arguments
Nothing but hammocks and tarp
>>716489
I still say those little Victorionox knives or cheap multitools with something /out/ engraved on them would be cool. Or an /out/ engraved mora.
Stickers too.
>>716489
I would buy /out/ related diy material like evazote sheets or carbon felt.
>>716503
Idk, for the stickers I was just thinking something like the patches.
Juat don't end up like /o/. People started making cool stickers that were related to the board and cars. Then the "Sticker General" threads started and now it's just a bunch of weeb stickers that have nothing to do with cars or the board.
dick patch
>>716523
Alternatively, somebody needs to start doing /out/ tattoos.
What about hats with the patches on them or some shit like that?
I would love to find somebody who could engrave cool shit on a Mora for a reasonable price. That would be perfect. And you could still probably sell them for $20.
>>716525
Hat with a Patch I would buy, I also need to get a normal patch, or if I could get a small patch like the size of a half dollar that would be sweet
>>716525
Ive also looked into starting acid etching
If I get half decent about it il be willing to etch people's knives if they send them to me for a few bucks
>>716529
>etch pic related onto Moras
>???
>Profit!
>>716532
It would have to be a basic outline , or shit like that
>>716538
I would do sew-on for the hats. And I think trucker caps and some real /out/ hats with a brim would be cool. Green beanies as well, those would sell great in the colder months. Beanies and baseball caps should be cheap and easy enough to produce as well as long as the patches are cheap.
>>716538
See on AMD baseball caps,
All I really want is a small patch , sew on the size of a quarter or half dollar coin
>>716543
Sew on *
>>716543
Like on the side of it, right? I think that would look better than a full sized 3" or 4" patch on the front.
Beanies for sure though.
>>716546
Like 1.5" probably, 3cm-4cm
>>716489
Why don't you come up with a unique business idea rather than saturating existing services on /out/ and /k/. Two of you fags making stores with threads currently up. There is 7 patch stores on 4chan with ivans /k/store selling gear and other stuff. Maybe go jew out somewhere else kiddo.
>>716489
a store can be harder than you think
>>716563
Because I'm setting up a camping store regardless, I thought it may bring in extra business to bring in some /out/ products, and because you're a fucking idiot.
>>716563
If there's no need for it, then people won't buy.
"kiddo"
>>716563
link plz
>>716489
I would buy sparklers & snakes
>>716503
Vic' can be a tough nut to crack. They outright fucked nutnfancy off when he went to them for run of custom alox cadets
Glad they did through the guy is a wanker
>>716630
That's probably because customising alox is a lot bigger deal than just having some custom printed plastic scales made.
They also sell different alox colours as special editions, so they're not just going to retool the factory and devalue their own product just for some guy who's barely internet famous.
And yeah, he is a wanker.
>>716538
Trucker hats are gay, impractical and unfashionable as fuck, we need to use real functional /out/ist hats. Like Tilley.
>>716489
i would buy just about anything for a good price.
especially if i can skip taxes and other dead weight bullshit.
it also needs very competitive shipping costs.
basically sell everything cheaper than the cheapest seller on ebay shipping included and you are my guy.
>>716489
OP. dude. you should open the first Coghlans wagon. buy yourself a used hot dog stand or similar food wagon type thing and outfit it with a ridiculously thorough stock of coghlan's shit. then you simply spend your days wheeling around tourist areas and national parks and whatnot. two things you'll make: sweet bank, and lots of families happy
>>716503
There are also knock off knife companies too like that fake leatherman I have with plastic handles. That one has some heating company's info printed on it. And the fake Victionox knives are dirt cheap too.
All depends if people want them as a real too or a novelty I guess.
>>716489
You are talking international shipping here on a small scale. Two T-shirts cost $15 to ship. Smaller stuff around $7 depending. Then you have to ad your cost and markup to balance the shipping costs. After doing all that you still have to collect stock and manage a site and answer to a allot of people's queries whilst doing marketing at the same time. Also take out Ad's that's around $50 to $100 on reasonable websites. If you make a store please collaborate with your fellow sellers rather than going alone. If we have solidarity between us and even share products. For instance patches are supplied by patch stores. Then Ivan or you sells the patches as a option to embroider on there products like caps and beanies. Send the T shirt distribution and sales to the T shirt store anon. Get my drift? Why swim upstream when you can be the bear together?
Brick and mortar is dead OP. Set up an Amazon shop or your own website.
>>716750
I'll even get a loudspeaker and play jungles like an I've cream van.
"Mum, mum! Can I have an..."
"I GOT TENT PEGS, ARSEHOLE!!"
Green and brown shit.
As an Armyfag, I find so much shit that would be fucking perfect for field ex but half the time it only comes in bright yellow or blue or orange and I can't use it.
I don't understand why /out/ companies don't address this.
>>717144
Because most /out/ companies target campers/hikers/backpackers going into National Forests where hunters are. But I really wish more would offer colors in camo or at least a dark "army" green.
>>717150
It hurts my soul
>>717159
i'm fine buying some orange stuff if it's not out while it's packed or being used. like a sleeping pad is either in yer OD pack your or underneath your OD sleeping bag in your OD tent.
i like to keep my light/fire making kit/knoife bright orange so it's harder to lose in the dark. either way most of that stuff is packed in my OD green bag or on my belt
>>717166
Yeah, I suppose you're right. My current sleeping mat is green but its in my bivy most nights anyway so a colored one would really be a big deal I guess
OP here, looking into domain registration at the moment. What name should I give the store, senpai? innawoods.com and greenbeanie.com are already taken.

>>717327
>moraknive.com
>>717328
Still not enough moras
>>717353
I know, I'm fuckin up.
I got that Kershaw for so cheap though, it might as well be a Mora. Shoulda bought 2 of them. The bigger CRKT was dirt cheap as well.
I was thinking maybe pepe's outdoors. Might lose some of the american market though if they think it's run by a beaner
>>716489
Assortments of /out/ branded dildos in all shapes and sizes.
>>716522
>tfw you sent me those WAT oil change reminders
>sticker blasted my snowboard with other /o/ stuff
>>718101
Yeah I still have a couple. I thought about ordering another roll but it always ends up being expensive and time consuming when 50 people e-mail me and I have to ship stuff to all of them.
>tfw PepsiFag has the addresses of 100+ people from /o/ because of the stickers
>plus even more from all the anons that got a Twingo
Still gotta go on that rape and murder spree...
>>718105
If you ever come into millions of dollars, buy dragon dildos for all of the addresses you have. I think you have my parents address so I wouldn't have to keep answering when I'm going to give them a grandkid.
>>718105
This is part of my plan for the shop for /out/ merch.
1. Get pre-orders for tshirts, stickers, whatever
2. Place order when minimum met
3. Receive merch (or some manufacturers may ship directly)
4. Store back end automagically sends you 50 addresses in label format
5. send out merch
6. receive profit as one lump sum
So, no more messy email bullshit or losing money by ordering first and distributing later.
Adhesives, laces, rope/cord/line, cooking/fire equipment, emergency beacons, tools, watches etc. It requires basically no specialist knowledge to sell (the customer knows what they need), is very easy to ship and you'll get repeat customers. Look into milsurp if you can. Maps and guides are also good.
Don't start selling boots, rucksack and outerwear. You cant compete with the internet and the big stores.
>>718107
Heh, maybe I will just write you some gay love letters but address it to your family.
One anon said "No cheese pizza please" so I cut out part of a pizza box and sent it with the stickers.
>>718110
Seems like a good idea for you, but less people are going to buy if they have to wait. Kinda sucks for you, but a lot of people will only buy them if you have them made and ready and can ship them out the day they pay for them.
I'm sure you can still get some people to pay in advance, but it will be far less.
>>718128
I'm also going to tripfag like a homosexual!
>>719222
Fuck off, this isn't /b.
>>719739
You haven't been able to tripfag on /b/ for how many years? And anyway coke>pepsi.
>>719222

>>719779
That's uncalled for.
>>719781
"Hello, this is thread. Can we get a nigger in here?"
^You
>>719794
I'm just going to say you are very rude and leave it at that. There's no reason to continue littering up this very nice board.
>>719796
LNT anon, time to delete your shitposts
>>719796
Put your trip back on Pepsi
Can't think of anything I would need at the moment, unless youre thinking about selling novelty items (patches, stickers, mugs, and things of that nature). As long as its not Coghlan products or some of the cheap products Im recently seen at Wal Mart popping up all of a sudden.
