Hi everyone, me and a friend plan on going camping in south west Australia soon. Was wondering if there are any good, legal places that are accessible and somewhat isolated. We are bringing only essentials and around 1 weeks supply of food and water. We're hoping to collect water and possibly hunt/fish to stay as long as possible.
Any tips on where to go? what to bring? What we can hunt/ trap? legal / danger issues? Edible flora?

i'm not sure about much south of bunbury, but around meilup beach in dunsborough has some really nice bushland and coast, but i doubt theres any fresh water or game.
Between bunno and Perth theres a lot of dams and lakes you could check out up in the hills, they're pretty nice
If you're looking for isolation, i suggest you head inland towards the forests or over the hills

Cheers mate, yeah i have been to meelup before for spearfishing and abalone catching but stayed in a house in dunsborough. Do you think we'd be able to catch rabbits with snares down there?

the ground around the beaches is pretty gravelly, i don't think the rabbits would like it there much
maybe inland where the grassier farms are, especially around the rivers
we have hundreds of them on our farm, but they stick to the soft grassy soil around the rivers
you could catch fish though
