What do you drink when /out/? Do you cool it, or bring stuff that is good at ambient temperatures?
>>
>>715847
Whisky
Best weight to fuck-you-up ratio that still tastes good
>>
Normal beer is actually pretty tasty at moderate temps
>protip: if your beer tastes awful when ambient, it's shitty beer
>"moderate" does not mean 80+
>>
>>715847
Water and coffee. With whiskey and microbrew waiting for me at home. Or occasionally >>715855
>>
>>715861
>water with coffee
>>
>>715863
I meant coffee in the morning, water through the day, smart guy. But I usually have a side of water with my coffee so I don't start out dehydrated.
>>
I bring moonshine or whiskey in my spare Sawyer Squeeze pouch. Beer is piss water for faggots.
>>
Captain Morgan's. But I'd rather smoke joints all day long
>>
>>715890
Yeah dude. Me too. I'd rather get blasted and not get all dehydrated n shit. I'd rather have a few brownies throughout the day instead of smoking though. It's 2014 for fucks sake.

>>
>>715893
Most Americans don't drink water ever.
>>
>>715894

hurr my soda is carbonated water yes we do fagurt
>>
If car camping then I bring a cooler full of beer, a couple different kinds of liquor (usually whisky, rum, and vodka), and some sodas and orange juice to make mixed drinks with..

If I'm doing some backwoods camping then I usually don't bring any alcohol.
>>
>>715897
it doesn't count if it's laden with corn searp
>>
>>715912
tfw this is an attack on literally every farmer in our country
anyway it's hard to find time to drink water between gallons of coffee
>>
Ain't nothing tastes better than a beer which has been cooled in a shady mountain stream.
I usually pack scotch for this exact reason >>715855
But brandy is equally dignified and a lot cheaper.
>>
>>715915
i've had about enough of the powerful corn cartel in this country. no wonder we're turning into a bunch of diabetic fatphux >:|
>>
>>715897
Reason number 2 why I'm going to live longer than you.

Why is it the USA produces corn so predominantly? as far as a food it's so low on the list of grains.
>>
>>715847
Makers mark. The small bottles pack well. And the caps on em are pretty sturdy. Plus its high enough content to be used as a fire starter. But low enough not to rape your tongue. Also good for cooking fish in...

Makers mark is what my old man generally drinks, I can still remember being fascinated by the wax drips when I was a kid.

Personally it's usually coffee/tea, I usually only drink at home or after work.
>>
>>716399
Corn is subsidized to ensure overproduction for food and dollar value security, and to keep the US producing a food surplus. It's also used as beef feed here which is why we eat too much meat. And corn syrup ends up being too cheap as well.
>>
>>716404
So Corn over other crops for political reasons?
>>
>>716408
Welcome to America.
>>
>>715894
I drink a lot of water daily. I drink the consumerist expensive water like Fiji and shit.
>>
>>715893

What are plates like that called? I want one now.
>>
>>715847
Fucking delicious when warm, I actually prefer it over being cold
>>
>>716449
How many calories is that? It looks like it could substitute for a meal.
>>
>>716404
>>716408

Corn is subsidized because corn growers, food companies and ethanol companies lobby to have it subsidized. 'Muh food security' is a meme to hoodwink people
into thinking the government actually cares about them.

>>716426

Welcome to human political systems.

I don't drink much water at all. When it is really hot at work I will. But I drink diet soda almost all the time. If I'm sweating, I will supplement it with Gatorade and a root beer for dem sugars.

I'm guessing that's why I get kidney stones.

Off topic but I have a question, how lomng should it take you to finish a handle of vodka?

I drank one in five days and that seems like it might be a little excessive
>>
>>716651
you canucks really love your maple trees
>>
>>716654
depends entirely on your size, tolerance, and self-respect

Usually rum.
>>
>>716657
hell ya, you should try this whiskey if you ever come to Canada, idk if they sell it in the states?
>>
>>716659
Two days for a gallon of booze?

I'm no longer worried about how much I drink
>>
>>716684
it was my pleasure to enable your alcoholism today, sir
>>
This stuff. 80% alcohol. Great for in your tea.
>>
>>715847
Just a local beer and I'll stick it in a creek to cool it down. Depending on the time of year and the source of the creek it can work pretty good.
>>
>>716680
Yea they sell canadian club down here. Let the shot glass dry out and it smells exactly like maple syrup.
>>
>>715847
Drinking while /out/ is drinking in public. Might not be lawful everywhere. Besides, being distanced from the trappings of civilization is what drives many of us outdoors...
>>
>>717302
More to the point, civilization and people are what drive us to drink.
>>
Vodka

Russian Standard usually does it

Protip: store your vodka in charred oak barrels for a while, makes it taste better.
>>
>>716399
It's incredibly cheap to produce compared to other grains. Especially considering it's so heavily subsidized.
>>
>>717995
Vodka is distilled to a much higher alcohol percentage than whiskey. Whiskey still retains some of the flavor of the grain it's made from, which is why rye whiskey is tangy and corn whiskey is more sweet. Aged vodka just tastes like wood, because it was distilled down to 98% and then diluted.
