Winterfag here

We don't get much snow in my part of Kansas, but when we do I'm in that shit.

>Nice cold air
>Even colder, comfier nights crammed by fire and sleeping bag
>Water source everywhere
>Pure uninterrupted blankets of white

What do you guys like about hiking/camping in your favorite season?

Winterfag reporting in
It's real nice here in Massachusetts/New Hampshire
Literally no better camping/hiking season
>challenging
>forests look wicked nice
>cozy when camping
And no ticks/mosquitoes
>>
Australian bush in summer

>swimming all day every day
>sleep under the stars without freezing
>lots of rabbits to eat

No ticks/mosquitoes are a HUGE plus.

I like them all equally desu.
Except for breakup. Breakup sucks.
Basically, winter is great because everything is frozen and I can go anywhere. There are no bugs or bears either.
Summer is good too. Fishing for salmon, sleeping in the warmth, dressing light. The mosquitoes suck, but the salmon and gold panning make up for it. Also, I get twenty hours of daylight. That's pretty nice.

I like the Winter too. No bugs, less bears, comfy cozy nights where you don't have to worry about sweating. Snow everywhere to melt for water if SHTF. Summer is the absolute worse. I never go out if it's hotter than 70F. I stay home and tend to my bees and goats.

Same thing here. Except if it's even remotely warm I'll just go back inside. Yet if it's rainy, snowy, gloomy cool weather, then I'm out there every minute I can.

Only two bad things about camping winter.
1.) It gets dark so friggin' early.

2.) Stepping outside that tent in the morning.

I'm glad to see so many winterfags brothers.
No bugs, magnificent snow everywhere, cold air, walking on frozen lake... So many nice things.
I live in France, winter are usually pretty warm but when you get into the mountains it gets colder. I spent some awesome nights in the Pyrénées, sleeping in a hammock during -20°C

>Animal steps in the snow
>no bugs
>Walking on frozen lake and earing the ice cracking under your feet might be the best feeling ever

Autumn, the nature is just breath taking, no bugs, just the right temperature and it doesn't get dark as fast as in winter

Gonna agree with this guy here, I love camping in fall. There's less bugs, it's cool but not too cold, the foliage is gorgeous, no rain like in spring, just a great time of year.

In Canada I prefer summer for camping and fall for hiking. I really do enjoy skiing when it's winter though.

Northeast USA
Fall - Autumn - God's gift to us all.
Clear clean air. Warm days, cool nights. Might snow, might be 70
0% humidity.
No bugs
