shit walleye should start spawning tsoon, i have ONE walleye lake nearby an i want to go catch some thoigh im not sure if the lake is open give tips and tricks pleae
>>
Sure thing. What time of water does the lake have (depth and clearety)? Typically if you can find any flowing water you will have success even from shore.

If the body of water you are considering doesn't have current you will need to find 5-10 ft of water preferably with a rocky or pebble bottem you will have success. Pic not related just a winter walleye

the thing marked as a dam on the map is very very slow minor inflow the red x is a relitivley fast outflow , water quality has always been super shitty in this lake
>>
>>712130
iveonly fished it a handful of times, and never caught anything of worth , water uality has always been really really bad, its stoked with walleye once or twice a year, and while they dont put a ton in there there supposedly is a half decent population ( I Saw a video of the state electrorfising it 5-7 years back and there was a few decent fish though its an arew where a bunch of guys sit and keep as many fish as they catch so im not sure how the current population is

I would toss 1/8th oz bright jigs with a fat head minnow. Start by finding the hump in the center of the lake, it is probably good spawning and feeding grounds for all species. Then do the same along the shore within close proximity (within a few hundred yards) to the inflow, despite how strong the flow

i mean the inflow is litterally a trickle of a strem, and should i bounce bottom? pond is relitivley weedy in some spots though i dont know what the bottom is like

Most lakes vegitation has died out by now, of there are dead and not gone yet you should find the edge of the weeds, if they are gone bounce the jig off the bottom. If the outflow has any depth to it that would also provide some current for fish to fight so consider that.

Now you have six! More fishing conversations the better!
>>
I don't when fish are spawning so there will be more fish later.
