I Keked the rest of the hike until I slammed my head on a giant spider web with a big spider. (The large "angly" colorfull ones you see on tv). Pic is me arriving.

Yeah, you just have to leave Rio de Janeiro which is the biggest hell hole I've ever seen. Don't turn /out/ into /int/. And yes I've been all over brazil not even rio, the only place worse than rio is maranhao.

The ocean was amazing. The only problem in the cliffs is that the ground was muddy and you slipped all the time and could not grasp at vines like the forest before it allowed. It was full of bromelias with needles and razor sharp leaves.

The ocean is amazing. I honestly can't imagine myself living in landlocked country.

My shit phone can't transmit the colors and the feeling. It was fucking green. Amazing, never saw that here. I lived for a great deal of my life in the central plains (savannahs lel) and always missed the ocean, now I live near it I don't enjoy it as I did. If Unviersity goes ok I'm planning to buy a used kayak.

>these fucking things
They were everywhere, the MASSIVE rains on the past days made finding the trail dificult and as I was early in the morning I had no one else to follow. The result is that I ended up following the trails left by water running downhill in the middle of the jungle, I found some pretty nice places, some rape caves and lots lots of nasty spiders and a bamboo vine that was atracted to your ankle and ALWAYS binded you. In the savannas of the mid-west we have bromelias that give real pine-apples, they are smaller and taste bitter but some are good.

The trail begins on the end of this beach. It then goes following the coast line but in deep jungle in that hill in the end. (It goes left in that picture). The trail is manly made of fucking boulders and mud, my feet feel they'll break in two after 6 hours (coming and going) of balancing on boulders.

I don't know if you guys have these in the north, but here termites make LONG "highways" made of dirt that go on over rocks, trees and what not. It's really fun to break the ceiling and see their frenzy of building and activity. In the mid-west they make tall clay "bubbles" that sprout of nowhere. They are sometimes child-sized or even mansized and even have some sort of natural AC due to their tunnel shape and positions in relation to the sun.

I can't even imagine how hellish is to travel in the Atlantic forest without a trail. In the northern hemisphere your forests are very clean you can walk on anywhere you wish, there aren't many obstacles. But here when I lost trail the thing was so thick and impossible to continue... I plan on camping on that beach someday as the hike is long.
>tfw no gf to take there and camp
It's a really sweet place, really nice for grills and friends. A shame I went alone. Pic is a xboxhueg spoider that I slamed my face in while out of the trail.

This is called Gabiroba, it is little known outside the mid-west and I don't even think anyone outside brazil knows it. The point is, it is fucking delicious and people sell the by volume when in season in the midwest. This isn't ripe and I was surprised to find it here. (I'm in the south, in a very humid place.) My phone has this glare because some months ago sand scratched the outside glass of the camera. Sorry.

This berry is called Pitanga, or brazil berrry, or surinam berry. It's is also delicious but it's VERY common along the coast. In my university they complement my diet because the university restaurant is shit (kek). I like to rub their leaves on my hands when I find them on the streets because I love the smell.

It looks like shit because it was on the floor and it's isn't their season.
Pic is a neo-blue dragon fly that I found. In the whole path I found bagazilions of butterflies including several PALM sized bright blue ones. I coudn't take pics because phone is shit and when they stoped flying they are brown and invisible.

Once you arrive at the isolated beach, there is a , thankfully non poluted river as this shit island full of dumb portuguese has no sewage treatment even tough it is a capital) and then there is that big ass hill/mountain to the left. There is a trail that leads to the top but it was so wind on the cliffs and I was so tired that I didn't tried doing it. Instead I went to chill on the river.

Even though it is little more than 3km I took 2 hours to make it. It is very rugged, slippery and muddy and most people do it in 3-4 hours. I walked fast and got really tired but it was worth The other beach is called Matadeiro (place of killing) because people used to butcher whales there.

It is a amazing thing when you are in a closed jungle tripping over boulders and creeks and then suddenly it opens up and you have this sight. Part of my fatigue was restaured every time this happened. This is was my /out/ trip today. Thank you for your time. I'll continue here to answer any questions you might have.

This is the kind of rain we get here every afternoon. Floods shit and is very very violent. And every time after it rains if the suns opens up I find these weird dogs in the fluvial drainage system near my house.
