Waterproof cases:
What waterproof cases do you guys use for first aid or fire lighting kit or whatever else you need to keep dry? Or do you just use zip lock bags? I think a case like pic related would be good for a first aid kit (except its not waterproof)
I use waterproof stuff sacks in various sizes.

First aid: one of those semi-disposable cheap cellphone bags for my smaller kit for day hikes and paddling. My bigger kit came in a ziplock bag inside a waterproof nylon pouch and it's usually inside a backpack made of coated fabric.
Camera and other electronics: Pelican case when I'm on the water. Plastic bags otherwise.
In general: roll top drybags, with stuff that really needs to stay dry in ziplocks because rolltops can leak if submerged, on boat trips. Inside plastic bags in my backpack if hiking.

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing, until I looked up the price this morning. The case would cost about 4 times as much as the contents.
>not waterproof
Pelican cases are IPX7 M8
I use a LOT of ziplocs - cheap, lightweight, disposable.
My packs are water-resistant enough that I don't usually worry about water ingress from rain/snow, but a ziploc keeps things together and dry (things like toilet paper, bandages, meds... things that get messy or unuseable when wet). Also nice to keep things together like rope/carabiners.
Do have a bunch of Pelican cases for equipment/instruments as I travel.
They also make great luggage - Easy to identify, tough as fuck, and baggage handlers think it's equipment/instruments so it's often hand-delivered to the oversize baggage area before the carousel even starts up.
>Hard drives (backups) fit real nice in the orange one
>Smallest black one fits a 1/2-width 2U instrument (DMM, Freq. counter, function generator, USRP, GPS simulator) along with cables nicely
>Tan one's for all my camera gear
>Gray one's for 2-3 day business trips or full-width equipment (service monitor, logic an, spec an)
>Black one's good for a week's travel or full-width equipment+tools
>Biggest black one's ... just big. Fits even my largest equipment (Cellular test set, network analyzer) or two standard full-width instruments. Case alone is 30lbs...
Thought about getting an SD-card pelican case, instead I bought a bulk pack of the cheap plastic clamshell cases (like 100 of the fuckers).
I've got two Pelican cases I take /out/.
A red Pelican 1020 for my personal fist aid kit and a yellow Pelican 1020 one for wallet, phone, spare batteries and Bic lighters. Works good and is waterproof.
The car's also got a Pelican 1120 for a larger first aid kit.
