also, dark residue wick too long
there is a dark residue when the mini candle oil burns, then dissipated into nothing-niss, i put my finger over it, smelled it, and had hints of lighter fluid "for zippos" smell to it.
this is obviously bad correct?

What exactly is the problem here, OP? Does the product not work? When you put it in your lamp, does it burn?
It seems like you don't like the way it smells. Why don't you just return the product at the store where you bought it from?
It's liquid parafin. The clear stuff burns cleaner than the decorative colored oil. It will always smell when it burns.
