Anyone know any 3 season sleeping bags for like $20?
Need a cheap but quality one for reasons.

I'd like one that covers the head too if a possibility.

Garbage bags would work great for you, a garbage person. Maybe the garbage man would throw you in a landfill

US surplus sleep system can be had for cheap online. I got one on Ebay for like $40 all three layers. It is warm and has a gortex waterproof shell to keep you dry and somewhat comfortably. Only downside is the weight. the bitch is like 10 to 15 pounds all in all if I remember correctly.

It's over $100 to purchase here in Canada :(

I want one real fucking bad.

does anyone have any idea what this product is?

It looks like a giant dry bag somehow modified to trap air, I just tried the same technique with my small dry bag and it makes a neat little pillow.

This would weigh nothing in a pack and be decent to sleep on imo.

Can someone PLEASE find me a sleeping bag + sleeping pad combo that averages around $60! I've been searching everywhere. 3 Season preferred.

What would /out/ recommend?

US army vintage modular sleep system, plus a blue closed cell foam mat. done. weighs about 12 lbs though.

I have a used MSS. What temp range is really good for?

For spring and summer just keep it unzipped. For fall zip it up halfway and winter fully zipped. 3 season mate

Money not an issue, what's a really warm sleeping bag for winter camping?

feathered friends snowy owl. it really doesn't get warmer than that.
>>
>>664036
of course the best thing about the MSS is that you don't have to pack it all at once, you can take the components separately depending on the weather. All in all though, 12 pounds for what it provides isn't horrible. IMO the MSS is one of the best pieces of milspec gear out there, pound for pound, dollar for dollar. Most issue gear is garbage but the MSS and the tri fold (Ames) shovel, I am particularly fond of.

Any cheaper alternatives?
>>

what about wiggys. their ftrss system makes it ideal for all seasons. i have a super light for 2 years now and i swear by it. its just heavy in the winter
>>
>>664073
12 lbs for a single person sleep system by foot travel is really terrible mate.
>>
>>664109
If it's -30 out and you want to sleep, that's light.
If it's not that cold, don't take the whole 12lbs.

For the price, IF you can still find a cheap one.

Saw wheat!

I have to say just how much I am loving my Seirra Designs Backcountry Bed...

A LOT!
>>
We already have a thread, why does this exist?
>>
>>664135
bruh -30 bags are like under 4 lbs. A bivy and a sleep pad aren't going to be 8 lbs....
>>
>>664135
You can shell out lots of money and get a -30F bag that'll weigh 4 or 5 pounds. Foam mat, tarp, bungee cords, and bankline would be like 60 bucks. Then you're all set.
